Bought the bike shorts based on all the reviews for my husband. The sizing was right on for him but he didn’t like it because of the two ridges in the perinium area. It caused him more irritation and pain then the bike saddle. Cannot reccomend it.
After lots of research and reading tons of reviews, I settled on purchasing the Pearl iZUMi men’s cycling shorts and I love mine! They work perfectly on my 10-20 mile rides so far. I hope to try them on a longer ride soon. The padding is nice and in the right spots. I really like my shorts and will be purchasing another pair soon.
I alway rode bikes but never owned a pair of biking shorts. I recently bought a road bike and decided to buy a pair for comfort. Not sure what others are like , but these worked perfectly. Good fit, seem to be good quality, and my comfort level has gone up exponentially. I would definitely recommend these to anyone considering a first time pair of biking shorts. I actually pulled on a pair of my regular shorts on over these for a more casual look in the neighborhood. Worked great. Give it a try!
These shorts have a very good fit, comfortable with great cushion,and smooth outer nylon that allows you to slide without difficulty over the seat when transitioning between different position on the bike.I recommend them and will buy 2 more to replace the other ones I have.
Good fit and lots of pockets. Look better for the casual rider than the tight sausage casings you see all the “pros” wearing, even tho it has spandex shorts built-in for that purpose. Give it five stars for fit and looks.
These Bike shorts are very comfortable, and are good for any type of biking from mountain biking to road. These shorts have padding where they need it and none where they don’t. The padding helps get rid of the soreness you get without padded shorts!!!
To anticipate the upcoming spring and summer season, I have decided to finally purchase a pair of bike shorts. As soon as it arrived, I wasn’t hesitant on taking it on a test ride. After 2 hours up a hill, it certainly does its jobs. However, due to the nature of my oversized “family heirlooms,” it felt somewhat uncomfortable. For the most part, the reason why I bought the shorts was to protect the goods, but the trade off was a little discomfort in other regions. My guess is I have to spend more time breaking into them. I would still recommend these shorts though.
I really just deducted a point for the break-in period that these shorts need. My main concern was that these would give me too much of a diapery feeling while walking around in them – and they do, at first. After a few 20mi+ rides they break in relatively nice. But my only gripe is that after 15-20 miles they are not as effective. They could’ve afforded a slightly more rigid padding, but I like the fact that this padding controls bacteria and moisture. A huge plus.They’re above average at moisture control, the shorts rock, nice support and padding, very fitting. They don’t slip or sag.
purchased as a Christmas present for my grandpa! Too cold to wear them yet but he seemed happy! Great buy!
